Please remember, neither the heater or hob will work with less than a quarter of a tank of fuel left. This is to prevent draining the tank on a campsite.
The heater is connected directly to the leisure battery. If the heater is left on then the battery will eventually go flat. The battery has a green light. The leisure battery will charge on electric hook-up or while driving.
Using your Hob in the VW Cosmo
Touch the hob button on the touch screen control panel. The cooker starts to heat up automatically when the power button (on the left of the hob) is switched to ON position.
The yellow indicator lamp lights up as soon as the cooker is switched on.
The red combustion lamp will light up when the combustion is stabilized in the burner, about 5 minutes after the start-up. Then the hob ring will begin to warm up.
Do not leave the hob on without cooking and keep the campervan ventilated while cooking.
More than 2 unsuccessful attempts to start the hob may lock the system.
To unlock the system, press the hob button on the touch screen control panel. Leave the hob button (on the wall to the left of the hob) off during the reset process.
- Switch on by pressing the hob button on the touch screen. (lock blinking)
- Switch off by pressing the hob button on the touch screen again. (blinking stops)
- Switch back on again on the hob touch screen. (Yellow LED lights up for 1 -3 seconds)
- When the yellow light has gone out, switch off again by pressing the hob touch screen button
Wait a few minutes, then begin the hob start-up process again. Touch screen on, then switch on the hob button. The yellow light should come on followed by the red light after 5 minutes and the ring should begin to warm up.
